Wonderful news for the commercial film industry: Robert dos Santos is an award-winning South African filmmaker and TV commercial director and he has directed a TV commercial for international release which showcases the launch of Planet Theta – which appears to be a world-first – a VR dating app. The concept of the advert, titled, It Was Us, was initially conceived by Charlie Southall and Dan Walsh at Dragonfly, a London based video production and “represents a global collaboration of talents and resources”. Dragonfly worked with “And.” – a leading film production company, based in South Africa, founded by dos Santos and producer Byron Davis. The advert, It Was Us, has received numerous accolades.
